Do you know a teen that is interested in making a positive change in our community?

Teens involved in Partnership Douglas County’s “Empower YOUth” program have the opportunity to discover fun activities and earn a college scholarship while making Douglas County a better place for everyone to live.

Students meet weekly and can participate in community events like Carson Valley Days and create media campaigns that focus on key public health issues that impact middle and high school teens. In 2019, students in Empower Youth focused on the dangers of vaping and helped create vape/smoke-free signage for community events like Concert in the Park.
