About Us

Partnership Douglas County serves Northern Regional Behavioral Health Policy Board regions(s): The Northern Region consists of Carson City, Churchill, Douglas, Lyon, and Storey Counties, stretching across 8,049 square miles in northwestern Nevada. The total population of the Northern Region, close to reaching 200,000, is largely rural in nature, with several city hubs including Carson City, Gardnerville, Dayton, and Fernley.

The Northern Regional Behavioral Health Board priorities include:

  • Obtain sustainable funding for current crisis stabilization and jail diversion programs (MOST, FASTT, CIT, and Carson Tahoe Mallory Crisis Center)
  • Increase behavioral health workforce with the capability to treat all ages across
  • Increase access to treatment in all levels of
  • Increase access to affordable and supported
  • Develop services to support continuity of care (e.g. continuation of medication/ service connection with community health worker, and peers).

Partnership Douglas County chairs and facilitates the Douglas County Behavioral Health Taskforce. Through the local taskforce we support and report to the Northern Board on joint priorities and initiatives in Douglas County.

Partnership Douglas County meetings and membership include representation defined by the twelve sectors as outlined in the DFC Act of 1997 including:

  • Youth
  • Parents
  • Businesses
  • Media
  • Schools
  • Organizations serving youth
  • Law enforcement
  • Religious or fraternal organizations civic or volunteer groups
  • Healthcare professional or organizations
  • State, local, and tribal government agencies
  • Other local organizations involved in reducing substance use

Meet Our Team

DARIA SINGERExecutive Director
Daria is a sixth generation Nevadan and has been at Partnership Douglas County since 2016. During her time here she has held the roles of Prevention Coordinator, Executive Assistant, Grant Manager, and as of March 2022 Executive Director. Daria holds an Associates of Art from Western Nevada College and a Bachelor of Science from Sam Houston State University in Criminal Justice and is a Certified Prevention Specialist- Supervisor.

In her free time Daria loves to be outdoors, with family, and working her second job as a Reserve Deputy for Douglas County.

NEYZER TORRESBilingual Prevention Coordinator
Neyzer is responsible for the 120 percent increase in Latino participation in Partnership events since she joined the organization in 2006. Her tenacity and passion in working with people shines through in her Latino community outreach events, Spanish newsletters, involvement in school and community functions as well as assistance in grant reporting. Neyzer also leads a Latino women’s group called Fuerza Latina in collaboration with Douglas County Social Services.

Neyzer hails from Colombia, sharing her public relations, communication, and broadcasting experience with the Partnership team.

ARACELI VALADEZContracted Douglas County School District Prevention Specialist
Araceli is a first-generation college graduate who earned an Associates of Arts at Western Nevada College and obtained two bachelor’s degrees in psychology and criminal justice from the University of Nevada, Reno in May 2022. At Partnership Douglas County, she focuses on outreach and building connections to share resources with parents and youth.

Araceli was born and raised in Northern Nevada. During her spare time, she enjoys spending quality time with her family and furry pals, as well as traveling for avant-garde experiences.

DAENA ESCAMILLAAdministrative Assistant
Daena likes to help people in the community. She is a compassionate individual who works well with others and strives to make them feel comfortable. In addition to her 18 years of experience of cleaning houses, Daena actively volunteers at the food closet, schools, sports events, church and Fuerza Latina. Additionally, she has experience working with immigration paperwork and is excited to learn about all the resources to to help our community.

Daena has lived in Gardnerville since 2000. She’s been married for 22 years and has two sons.

Isabel Bauwens-TellesCommunity Prevention Specialist
Isabel is a student at Lake Tahoe Community College, focusing on Anthropology, She is working on getting her bachelor’s degree. She focuses on building connections in the community through outreach and events. She also works with Douglas youth. Isabel has recently moved down to Nevada, She was born and raised in Lake Tahoe, CA.

In here free time she loves traveling, and seeking out new adventures.

Alexandra Hastings-MolyneuxContracted Media Specialist
Alexandra Hastings-Molyneux is a lifelong Nevadan and a senior at the University of Nevada, Reno, majoring in Marketing with a minor in Journalism. With deep roots in the community, she brings a thoughtful and creative approach to media and communications, with a strong focus on supporting community-based initiatives and local organizations. Alexandra is passionate about using storytelling and digital media to build awareness, strengthen connections, and highlight the impact of programs that serve Douglas County and the surrounding region.

In her free time, Alexandra enjoys skiing, writing, and traveling. She values spending time with family, friends, her boyfriend, and her two Bernese Mountain Dogs, Billie and Marlow.
