Douglas County, NV Partnership Douglas County (PDC) is proud to announce it was awarded $70,001 for FY 2024–2025 through the Nevada Local Justice Reinvestment Grant, funded by the Nevada Department of Sentencing Policy. These funds support the expansion of two key programs: FASTT (Forensic Assessment Services Triage Team) and MOST (Mobile Outreach Safety Team).

Under this grant, PDC is partnering with the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office and Suicide Prevention Network to enhance the FASTT program by offering mental health and coping skills classes to individuals in custody. The grant also supports the expansion of MOST services, allowing the program to operate five days a week instead of four, increasing access to behavioral health crisis response in the community.

“We’re incredibly grateful for the support of the Nevada Department of Sentencing Policy through the Nevada Local Justice Reinvestment Grant. This funding allows us to expand essential mental health jail diversion services and continue supporting individuals in our community through innovative, collaborative efforts with the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office,” said Daria Singer, Executive Director at PDC.

As we approach the conclusion of this grant cycle in June 2025, PDC is thankful for the continued support that has made these program expansions possible. The work being done through FASTT and MOST, in collaboration with the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, remains a vital part of PDC’s mission to enhance community wellness and safety.
