Job Title:         Community Prevention Coordinator

Hourly Compensation: $18 – $20/hr.: Depending upon experience

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma minimum, college work preferred
  • Current Douglas County resident
  • Computer and Internet literate with working knowledge of Microsoft excel, word, power point, and publisher
  • Working knowledge of social media platforms
  • Ability to demonstrate skills in: problem solving, coordination of activities and events, verbal and written communication with parents, business owners, community leaders, governmental entities, etc.
  • Excel in multiple task work with deadlines
  • Knowledge of the community and available resources preferred

Status:             0.75-1 FTE (30-40 hours per week). Grant funded position.  Benefit package that may include sick leave, paid vacation, and includes taxes required by law.

Description:  Community Prevention Coordinator will carry out the scope of work (SOW) as outlined in grants and will report to the Partnership Douglas County Executive Director.

Duties:

  • Arrange speaking engagements and speak before community groups and businesses utilizing Partnership PowerPoint presentations and other provided
  • Attend and participate in community meetings and taking meeting minutes, when
  • Collect, complete and submit all necessary evaluation reports to the appropriate entities in a timely manner.
  • Work with the Executive Director and Partnership team to complete grant scopes of work in the areas of substance abuse prevention, community support to schools, and other programs as identified in the Community Health Needs Assessment/Improvement Plan.
